Badenoch’s supposed “immigrant patriotism” is even harder to square with her own comments, while standing in a diverse London seat around a decade ago, regarding her intention as a Nigerian to lobby for West Africa in Westminster. “I am asking you to support a Nigerian who is trying to improve our national image and do something great here.” What were these “great” things? Well, they included peddling influence to “speak out against those who are cheating and robbing Nigeria” and working on behalf of any fellow Nigerians “who seek refuge for themselves or their money in the UK.” The best interests of her host nation—the very thing Lord Moore praises Badenoch for cherishing—appear to have been remote from her mind.

I don't know why people such as Jack Montgomery have been treating this as if it's so improbable. At the time it was pretty clear to me at least that this was what they were trying to do. They had knowingly and with forethought pushed inflation up to record levels through their disgusting "furlough" programme (during their "lockdowns"), emptying billions of pounds of borrowed money directly into people's salaries. Then they tried to bring it down again by crushing wages, crushing growth in real terms, crushing productivity and economic optimism, crushing our culture, crushing our hopes, crushing our lives.

Another Country (1984)

Despite its exciting gay Marxist reputation, Another Country is actually surprisingly silly and boring. The one interesting couple are Fowler (Tristan Oliver) and Wharton (Adrian Ross Magenty). We never actually see them fuck, of course, but the boot-cleaning scene (here at 56:50) is the only part of the film with even the slightest hint of human affection about it - let alone bona fide homoeroticism.
